Thousands Students to make new beginning on Friday in DU

NEW DELHI: After a long admission process, the DU colleges are now ready to start the academic session on Friday. For students, this will be a chance to interact with their classmates as well as the seniors and get informed about their college of their orientation programme, get the college identity card and the timetable, and report any instance of ragging to the college authorities and the police personnel on duty.

Many colleges such as Kamala Nehru, SRCC, Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Rajdhani conducted their orientation programmes on Thursday whereas most of the collage begin their session today Swami Vivekananda Collage is one of them . The colleges gave its new students a “feel of the academic culture of the college on the first day of the academic session”, said the principal of  Vivekananda College.

The students were also informed about the rules and regulations they will have to follow to maintain discipline and various extra-curricular activities that they can take up. “We encourage students to talk to the (college) clubs and society representatives if they are interested in extra-curricular activities like games and dance.
